How to create a monogram
"If we can hoop it, we can embroider it"
The following is a step by step description of the process involved in creating a monogram.
- The customer supplies or chooses from our stock of apparel.
- The customer chooses a digitised personal logo, customised design or lettering style.
- If the customer requires a personal logo digitised, this will be passed onto our digitizer who will return the file we use on the computer in order to produce the logo.
- We have a choice of well over 4000 designs in our database that can be customised to suit the customers needs.
- If lettering is all that makes up the customer's monogram, a choice of lettering styles can be selected from.
- The customer then defines the size, position on the apparel and the colors that are to be used for the monogram.
- The customer gives a time period till pick up and all requirements are noted on an order form.
- The monogram design is then created on the embroidery software program and created as a work file.
- The item of apparel is then placed into a hoop along with an appropriate backing material, the machine is set-up and the hoop is mounted onto the embroidery machine.
- The work file on the computer is then issued a job number that is sent down the network cable to the embroidery machine.
- With the machine set-up, the apparel hooped and mounted, and the job number ready work can begin.
- After the monogram has been completed excess backing material is trimmed away and unrequired stitches taken out. A new work of art is ready to be picked up by the customer.
